Refund & Deposit Policy

1. Reservation Deposits

To reserve a puppy, a non-refundable deposit is required.

Deposits:

  • Secure your selected puppy

  • Remove the puppy from public availability

  • Confirm your intent to complete the purchase

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all deposits are non-refundable.


2. Why Deposits Are Non-Refundable

Once a puppy is reserved:

  • We decline other qualified buyers

  • We allocate resources toward that specific placement

  • We prepare health documentation and transition planning

For these reasons, deposits are considered compensation for reserving and holding the puppy.


3. Exceptions to Non-Refundable Deposits

A deposit may be refunded if:

  • The puppy becomes medically unavailable prior to transfer

  • A licensed veterinarian confirms a serious health condition before pickup

  • We determine placement is not suitable prior to final sale

Refunds under these conditions are issued at our discretion.


4. Final Payment & Refund Policy

All remaining balances must be paid before transfer of ownership.

After a puppy has been:

  • Delivered

  • Picked up

  • Transferred to buyer custody

All sales are final.

We do not provide refunds for:

  • Buyer remorse

  • Allergies discovered after purchase

  • Landlord or housing restrictions

  • Family disagreements

  • Lifestyle changes


5. Health-Related Returns

If a licensed veterinarian identifies a serious congenital condition within the timeframe stated in your Puppy Sales Agreement:

  • The buyer must notify us immediately

  • Written veterinary documentation must be provided

  • The puppy may need to be returned for evaluation

Any remedy (replacement or partial refund) will be outlined in the signed Puppy Sales Agreement.

Veterinary expenses not pre-approved by us are not automatically reimbursed.


6. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

By placing a deposit or completing payment, you agree:

  • Not to initiate a chargeback without first contacting us

  • That deposits are clearly disclosed as non-refundable

  • That disputes will be handled according to this policy

Fraudulent chargebacks may result in legal action.


7. Shipping & Delivery Fees

Shipping or delivery fees are non-refundable once:

  • Travel arrangements are booked

  • Transportation services are scheduled

Carrier delays outside our control do not qualify for refunds.


8. California Residents

If you are a California resident, your rights under California Pet Purchase Protection Laws may apply. Nothing in this policy limits those statutory rights.


9. Cancellations Before Pickup

If final payment has been made and the buyer cancels prior to pickup:

  • Deposit remains non-refundable

  • Additional refund eligibility will be reviewed case-by-case

  • Administrative fees may apply


10. Policy Updates

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. The version posted on this page is the governing version.
